How does the topic impact your life?

 

Almost everyone would say that music has impact their lives in some way...

We believe that music can shape you in a number of ways, it can influence your way of dressing, your attitude towards people, your likes,  the way you speak, and even more important your way of thinking...

Mainly, we would say that it  can reveal a whole new world to us, It can explain many difficult situations that we deal with, It can show a way of protest again the unfair, violent, awful acts committed by humankind, It gave a feeling of hope for a better world. 

We feel it is important to highlight how rock music can impact a person's life in a positive way because throughout history rock music has been a stigmatised genre; it has been associated with Satanism, violence and corruption of youth. However, this is nothing more than hearsay; on many occasions, rock has had a positive impact on a person's life.

Here are three moments in which rock music had a positive impact on society as a whole.

1. Live AID Concert

On 13 July 1985, Live Aid took place, two concerts held simultaneously at Wembley Stadium in London, England, and John F. Kennedy Stadium in Philadelphia, USA, to raise funds for the benefit of East African countries, specifically Ethiopia and Somalia

2. Scorpions - The Fall of the Berlin Wall

The song made its debut in 1989, at a ceremony celebrating the Berlin Wall, the song became an anthem of freedom.

3. USA for Africa - We are the world

"We Are the World" is a charity single originally recorded by the supergroup USA for Africa in 1985. It was written by Michael Jackson and Lionel Richie and produced by Quincy Jones and Michael Omartian for the album We Are the World. With sales in excess of 20 million copies, it is the eighth-bestselling physical single of all time.
